Festa Major 2026
How this was made
We are two people from Castellar who have just started our studio. We wanted to make something useful for the town for Festa Major, and this is what came out of it.
There is no business here: nobody paid us to make it. Made by the town and for the town, with no advertising, no sponsors and no small print. Just a lot of love for Festa Major.

Eighty pages of PDF
The official programme is an 80-page PDF made for print. On a phone, out in the street and in a hurry, finding what time something starts is painful. We pulled out the activities one by one — time, place, organiser and description — and then checked every one of them back against the PDF so that nothing was invented or misplaced.

In three languages
The official programme is in Catalan only. The site opens in Catalan, as it should, but it is also in Spanish and English so that people from elsewhere, or who are still learning Catalan, can find out what is happening on their street. We did the translations ourselves.

The poster’s language
The thick black outlines, hard shadows and cut-out cards come from the festival’s own posters. Each section has its colour: blue for the home page, sky blue for Vilabarrakes, green for the venues, lilac for the exhibitions. The colour tells you where you are before the text does.

Made for the street
Phone first, big screen second. Nothing has to be fetched from a server while you walk: these are static pages, they load fast and they cope with poor signal in the middle of a packed square. The activities you save stay on your phone and are still there when you come back.

So everyone fits
There are filters to find activities for children and those the programme marks as accessible. You can also make the text bigger or raise the contrast if the screen is hard to read, and it is remembered for next time.

Without watching you
There is no analytics, no cookies, no advertising and no pop-up asking for your consent. Not even the fonts come from elsewhere: they load from this site. We do not know who visits or what they look at, and we think that is how it should be.
